A man has appeared before court charged with spiking a woman’s drink in a bar before raping her in the street. 

Dale Garlick, 29, was charged by police with spiking and raping a woman at a Manchester bar. 

Garlick was reportedly asked to leave after he had followed his female victim while she was drinking in a Stalybridge club. 

He is accused of later attacking her in the street while she walked home.

Garlick (pictured) was refused bail and remanded in custody. He is set to face Minshull Street Crown Court in December

Dale Garlick, 29, appeared before Tameside Magistrates’ Court, Manchester on Wednesday charged with the spiking and rape of a female victim who alleges she was attacked after partying in Stalybridge, Greater Manchester in September

Garlick was refused bail and remanded in custody as he appeared before Tameside Magistrates’ Court, Manchester on Wednesday. 

He is expected to face Minshull Street Crown Court in December. 

Greater Manchester Police said the force received a report in September from a woman who said that at some time during a night out in Stalybridge days earlier her drink had been spiked and she had been raped.
