Three men have been arrested on suspicion of murder after a woman’s body was found in Liverpool.

Police were called the property at The Green, Mossley Hill, at around 4.55pm on Thursday after reports of woman’s body being found in a flat.

Emergency services found the body of a 47-year-old woman who was pronounced dead at the scene. 

Her death is currently being treated as ‘unexplained’ pending the results of a post mortem examination.

Two of the suspects, aged 21 and 57 are from the Stoneycroft area of Liverpool. The third man, aged 46 is from Norris Green. 

They have all been arrested on suspicion of murder and are being held in police stations across the city for questioning. 

According to Merseyside Police: ‘Initial enquiries are ongoing at the scene and at this stage detectives are treating the incident as unexplained.
