Huge wildfire in Colorado was caused by a deputy’s CAR when catalytic converter lit dry grass while officer was driving through a field to reach a suspicious vehicle

  • The deputy tried to intercept a suspicious vehicle and drove across a field
  • The car became stuck and a spark from the catalytic converter started a fire
  • It spread across 100 acres, forcing 50 homes to evacuate
