- The Office for Students says 38% of students are obtaining first class degrees
- That is up from 16% who achieved first class degrees a decade earlier in 2010-11
- It says leniency due to the Covid pandemic could mean ‘baked in’ grade inflation
- Universities minister Michelle Donelan condemned the ‘unjustifiable increases’
